The University of Galway, one of Ireland’s premier institutions, sits on a picturesque 105-hectare campus along the River Corrib. It beautifully blends heritage and modernity, featuring the historic Quadrangle, built in 1845, alongside cutting-edge facilities such as the Biosciences Research Building, the Engineering Building, the Hardiman Research Building and the Lambe Institute for Translational Research.
At its core, the James Hardiman Library serves as a dynamic hub with over 430,000 printed books, 400,000 e-books, and access to thousands of journals. The campus also offers advanced labs, versatile study spaces, and creative hubs like the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance.
Set in the lively west-coast city of Galway, the university is surrounded by cafés, shops, and scenic riverside walks. With Shannon and Ireland West (Knock) airports about 1 to 1.5 hours away and Dublin Airport roughly two hours by road, students enjoy excellent national and local transport links, making Galway both accessible and vibrant.
Galway offers vibrant student experience. There are many societies and clubs ranging from arts and theatre to sports and social activism. The campus includes cafés, a student centre, cultural hubs, a large sports centre, shops, and general amenities like a pharmacy and barbershop.
From business to biosciences, here are some of the master’s programs that attract students to the University of Galway.
Onebounce recently spent time at University of Galway meeting students who came to Ireland to pursue their studies through Onebounce. The students shared their experiences of adapting to campus life, managing academic challenges, and taking full advantage of university resources. Many acknowledged the support provided by Onebounce in making their transition smooth and successful.
Here’s what our students had to say about their journey:

Mohit, our student from University of Galway says, “I came to Ireland in 2023 and now working as an Implementation Consultant. The experience has been life-changing personally and professionally, and Ireland is an excellent choice for students and professionals.”

Kashish, a student who is currently pursuing her Masters in fintech, says “The environment and the people here have been amazing. My experience in Galway so far has been fantastic”.
Watching our students chase their dreams, achieve milestones and build meaningful careers in Ireland has been truly inspiring.
